The Town of Bethlehem is considering an application for a cell tower on the site of the BC Operations and Maintenance Facility as part of the district's efforts to generate non-tax revenue. Right now, they are conducting balloon tests at two sites to give residents an idea of what to expect if these towers are built. Our Sabina Kuriakose has more from Bethlehem.

Trainer Chad Brown is on fire right now. He's got six winners in 10 races at the Saratoga Race Course this meet. The horses that Brown gets to train are getting better and better and there's one filly that has a lot to do with it. As Marisa Jacques tells us, that horse will be on stage in front of thousands of fans Saturday in the Grade I Diana.

Lawmakers resumed their gavel-in, gavel-out routine on Thursday before heading home for the weekend. But before they left, a tentative deal was reached on a major sticking point holding up budget negotiations. The SUNY Empowerment Plan would allow state schools to set their own tuition. In a tentative deal between the Senate and Assembly, institutions could increase their rates by two to three percent for a period of three to five years. The governor, however, is not yet on board. Our Erin Billups has more.

Lawyers for murder suspect Michael Jacques are seeking to move his trial to Albany, claiming a fair trial in Vermont would be impossible. Defense attorneys say both Jacques and his lawyers have been getting death threats since he was charged in the 2008 slaying of his 12-year-old niece, Brooke Bennett of Braintree.

Charles Lockwood has advanced stage liver cancer and was taken off the transplant list after a new tumor appeared in another part of his body. He underwent a new treatment called Therasphere to shrink the tumor, and is now able to enjoy the time he has left.
Most people think animal adoption is just for dogs and cats. But in fact, there are groups dedicated to finding forever homes for all sorts of animals including horses. Today we'll learn more about one group that helps educate people about horses and finds homes for the hoses in their care.
A new tool at the Weill Cornell Medical College allows doctors to take a virtual walk through a patient's MRIs to see potential medical problems and even plan out surgeries. Technology reporter Adam Balkin filed the following report.
