Albany cop creates off-duty business
ALBANY, N.Y. -- An Albany cop has a leg up on the competition, as he is legging it on his off-duty business. Officer Loren Grugan is now the first person in the area to give residents a ride on his rickshaw.
The bicycle powered mode of transportation is more than just his hobby. Grugan says he always wanted to own a company when he retires from the force, so he decided to purchase a rickshaw after riding one in New York City. He says so far it has been doing very well.

"My goal is to have six of them a couple up here and a couple downtown including river front tours and Washington Park tours and I’m working with the aqua ducks and he's hoping to maybe compliment this as part of their tours,” said Grugan.
If you want to experience a ride on Officer Grugan's ricksaw, it'll cost you less than a gallon of gas, only $3.00 per person.
