National Accreditation of the Rensselaer Land Trust commemorated with fundraising celebration
TROY, N.Y. -- The National Accreditation of the Rensselaer Land Trust was commemorated with a fundraising celebration at Brown's Brewing Company in Troy.

Troy Mayor Harry Tutunjian and Rensselaer County Executive Kathy Jimino were on hand for the event.

The Land Trust is pushing for a three-year capital plan to raise $3 million in order to continue protecting watersheds and other natural areas.

"For the first time nationally, it is one of the 38 organizations that is accredited as a land trust by the by the Land Trust Alliance,” said John Middlebrooks Executive Director.


The President of Brown's Brewing Company is a member of the Rensselaer Land Trust board and a strong advocate for environmental preservation.
