Wheelchair Bowl V at Teresian House
ALBANY, N.Y. -- It's Wheelchair Bowl V at the Teresian House in Albany.
In the spirit of Super Bowl XXIII, residents at the nursing home on Washington Avenue Extension strapped themselves in and played a little flag football with the help of the Teresian House staff.
It was the Carmels verses the Steelchairs, a play on words with the real-deal matchup of the Cardinals and Steelers on Sunday.
"Every year, we select two different teams, all different kinds of players, whether they're ambulatory or not, and we select funny names that mimic the teams that are playing. We use the same colors and we just have a rough and tumble football game that staff and residents enjoy," said Teresian House Physical Therapist Heather Campbell.

The halftime show featured Spruce Bingsteen and the T Street Band. It's a resident and staff group singing the Boss's greatest hits.
And if you are wondering who won the matchup, the Carmels 34 and the Steelchairs 28.
