Story Title:
The cost of the coup

Story Summary:
State senators are set to work through the holiday weekend and now it looks like they might not get paid for it either. Comptroller Tom DiNapoli announced Thursday he is going to withhold senators' pay checks, even as he's uncertain he has the authority to do it. But as DiNapoli goes to court to stop the Senate from, he says, taking taxpayer money, he's not alone. As Josh Robin reports, this political fight is giving way to a long legal one and you're picking up the tab.
