ALBANY, N.Y. -- To help prepare students for the growing number of nanotech-related career opportunities in the Capital Region, the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at UAlbany held its popular NanoCareer Day program.

More than 300 students from throughout the Tech Valley region got a first hand look at careers in the emerging field of nanotechnology. Students said the tour gave them an opportunity to see how science and technology will affect their career decisions in the future.

Mohonasen High School student Tyler O'Connor said, "Oh yeah, the tour is awesome. I mean, I've learned a lot of things already about engineering in general. I always wanted to be an engineer so in general it helps me to learn more about it, and it definitely helped in my decision if I wanted to be a nanoscience engineer or not."

The NanoCareer Day program has been going strong since 2006. It's just one of the events during UAlbany's Nano-vember celebration.
