ALBANY, N.Y. -- Volunteers from UAlbany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering took part in a cleanup effort at the Pine Bush Preserve in Albany in honor of Earth Day.

Students and staff were provided with trash bags and gloves to help clean up any litter at the 3,000 acre Preserve.

One employee said it felt good to lend a hand.

"We already picked up a lot of stuff. A lot of trash. Everything from laundry detergent to pizza boxes," said CNSE employee Melissa Preston. "So the college is happy to help out."

The Pine Bush Preserve offers miles of hiking trails, plants and wildlife of all kinds.
