SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Law firm Martin, Harding and Mazzotti is assisting in the recovery effort following Wednesday's devastating tornadoes in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Managing Partner Paul Harding says they also have a law office in Springfield and they wanted to do something to help. Harding said going there was the right thing to do.
"We got there yesterday morning and I wasn't prepared to see what I saw. Blocks of roads are just shut down, cars turned over, National Guard in the streets and lots of police officers. As a result, there are a lot of people who lost their homes and I met with many of them yesterday. We got them rooms at the Marriot and gave them $100 so they could buy something because they have lost everything," said Paul Harding of Martin, Harding and Mazzotti.
The law firm donated 25 hotel rooms for those in need of shelter.
