PRATTSVILLE, N.Y. -- More than 100 residents, planners, designers and volunteers came together to share their vision on ways to rebuild the Town of Prattsville. They say, now is the opportunity to start over after flood waters damaged most of their community.
Everything from housing, infrastructure, business development, jobs, parks and recreation, are on the to do list for the near and foreseeable future. What makes this list productive however is the determination on the community’s part to make it actionable, find the funding and man power to turn ideas into reality.
"We can go out and say ok, here's the Rec complex we want to put it, now let's get some funding. Let's get grants. How can we get this to happen? And that's why the next couple of months are going to be exciting, but a lot of hard work," said Kevin Piccoli, Steering Committee Leader.
The group will put together a plan this weekend to start making that idea into a reality immediately following.
