ALBANY, N.Y. -- Jezreel International opened its warehouse to the public for the third annual holiday giveaway People from all the Capital Region are able to take whatever they need from the warehouse.

Churches and charities from areas hit hard by Irene and Lee were also invited to come and collect items from the giveaway to redistribute in their communities.

Traditional items like food and cleaning supplies are available, as well as clothing, art supplies, sporting goods, movies and books.

"Jezreel invited us to come to this wonderful event where we can choose items for people in Schoharie valley, in the flood zones. Our church works with people down there. We can try to bring relief to the people down there," said Pastor Gail Adamoschek.

"Basketballs, soda and games, so it’s over $200,000 worth of air that we were able to get and give out to everyone," Jazreel Director Lorenzo Hodges said.

People here say the amount of giving they've seen this year is incredible, especially consider the economy and the amount of people hit by the storm.
