LATHAM, N.Y. -- Everyone deserves a change every now and then and one salon dedicated the entire afternoon for some makeovers and to make a difference.

Changes' Hair Salon in Latham opened its doors, cutting, styling and curling to help raise money for breast cancer. The fundraiser has been going on for three years and still has great meaning to those who dedicate their time.

“Everybody here has definitely been touched by cancer, in one way or another. Mothers, sisters, friends, cousins, aunts or uncle. So this really helps us out and that we can donate our time and energy to helping that cause," said hairdresser Amy Hartman.

All the proceeds from Sunday's event go directly to the City of Hope research foundation.
