UTICA, N.Y. -- The FX Matt Brewery is a historic building in the heart of downtown Utica. It dates back to the prohibition era and is the brewery for the famous Saranac beer and ales.

This fire happened to be on the kick off night of the tenth annual Saranac Thursdays. Many people were already out in front of the building getting ready for the event when the fire started.

We spoke with the Vice President of the brewery about the company's rich history.

Fred Matt says the company already plans to rebuild.
