NYC prepares for 9-11 anniversary
NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- As the country prepares to remember the seventh anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, construction continues at the World Trade Center Site.

A permanent memorial is being created as well as construction on a steel-clad building to greet visitors Thursday. The welcome pavilion will be about six or seven stories tall and will have a theater and café inside. The underground memorial will have two waterfalls and square pools where the twin towers once stood. Organizers hope the memorial will be ready for the 10th anniversary of the attacks of September 11th.
