Man arrested after riding lawnmower on highway

By: Web Staff

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- Glens Falls police arrest a man for riding his lawnmower on a local highway, and they say he was high on marijuana.

Police already arrested Donald Johnson earlier in the week after he reported a stolen safe, which turned out to be where he was storing 3 ounces of pot.

Saturday night around midnight, Johnson and Carl Critelli were seen driving down Glen Street, on their way to the Irish Pub. Johnson told police he planned on selling the vehicle to the pub's owner for just $200.

Police ticketed Critelli for not wearing a seatbelt, because even a lawnmower can merit traffic violations once it's on a highway. He was seated on the hood!

Johnson has a date with a judge on Thursday.
