Crews continue working to restore power
CAPITAL REGION -- National Grid and NYSEG crews continue working to restore power to thousands still in the dark after last week's ice storm.
Officials said today's weather could hamper restoration efforts. It's expected to be windy and warmer, and the concern is that more branches could fall.

At the peak of the storm, more than 229,000 people in our area were without power.
National Grid stresses crews are working as fast as possible.
"We're still hoping for mid-week, and we really need to keep our fingers crossed about this weather that we are facing. The winds combined with the ice that's already on the limbs and on the wires could cost for wreaking havoc," said Susan Crossett of National Grid.
