Race continues for Albany Mayor
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany's Common Council President is officially throwing her hat into the ring to become Albany's next Mayor going up against current Mayor Jerry Jennings.
Shawn Morris is making the announcement in front of the Midtown Tap and Tea Room. Morris has represented the seventh ward for three terms, and was elected president in 2005.

Albany Common Council Member Corey Ellis announced his candidacy Monday. Ellis represents Arbor Hill and has actively worked to help clean up the neighborhood.
Meanwhile, Albany resident Marlon Anderson told us he plans to run too. Anderson says he's been politically active in the city, working toward community redevelopment and curbing gun violence.
