GLENVILLE, N.Y. -- Glenville police said a 15-year-old girl is safe and sound after an extensive search for her Thursday evening.

Colleen Sweet was found by search crews late Thursday night after a five-hour search. Sweet has Asperger's syndrome -- a form of autism -- and had been reported missing by family around 5:15 p.m. She was last seen at the Glenville YMCA.

Glenville Police Chief Michael Rinalli said, "The best part is over. She's been found. Now, like we said, we'd like to find out all of the details, find out exactly where she went. We have our own internal things."

Police also thanked everyone who joined in Thursday's search effort.
