Rachael Ray comes home
LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. -- Rachael Ray came back to her hometown of Lake George to raise money for her alma mater.
Ray took part in a fundraiser at Lake George High School Monday where she did a cooking demonstration and fielded questions from the audience. It's an annual fundraiser the daytime TV star has been doing for several years. The money raised goes towards a scholarship program at the high school.
On Monday, Ray sat down for an exclusive interview with Capital News 9 contributor Jay Bobbin.

"As with any other job in life that I've gotten, I just sort of had to dive into it and say 'Well if all these other people can do it, I can certainly learn how to do it.' And hopefully, after we just finished our 550th episode, hopefully I've gotten this much better at it, but no, the Food Network didn't prepare me for that at all," Ray said.
Ray added that nothing could have possibly prepared her for the transition from the Food Network to daytime TV.
