FORT EDWARD, N.Y. -- Friends and family will say goodbye today to the 13-year-old Fort Edward boy killed in an accidental shooting.

Gary Cota will be laid to rest after services at St. Joseph’s Church on Broadway. The community gathered last week for a candle light vigil and a wake was held Sunday afternoon.

Police said Cota and a friend were handling a gun last Tuesday when it went off and killed Cota. No charges have been filed.
