In St. Petersburg, Fla., Phillies fans sure are having a "hoot," when there are many perks on and off the diamond at Bright House Field. YNN's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.

FLORIDA -- The St. Petersburg/Clearwater area of Florida is renowned for its gorgeous scenery, both off and on the diamond at Bright House Field, the spring training home of Philadelphia Phillies.

Clearwater also claims the original Hooters restaurant, not far from the ballpark. Annually, its casts a roster of 20 girls with the best "assets" to appear at the games over the season.

"Based on our attitude and our personality, they pick out who they would like to do the spring training game" says Brittany Morgan, a Hooters calendar girl.

"Doing the game" means either waiting out foul balls or staffing the Hooters Dugout, a rental space close to the action, where the guys from locally brewed Yuengling beer are enjoying the views.

"The Hooters... wings, they're good," says one of the customers.

NY1 stopped by when the Phillies played the Dominican Republic, one of the teams participating in the World Baseball Classic. Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano hit it out of the park, delighting some of the fans.

"Originally I am from Puerto Rico, so it is kind of nice to see the dominicanos, the Caribbean brothers playing," one of the spectators says.

For others, it doesn't matter who the Phillies are facing.

"It's all about baseball when you come down here, every day we are here," says another visitor.

Some at the game make the rounds of the Grapefruit League.

"Well I've been down to Sarasota, I've been down to Fort Myers. Of course, there’s four teams here so I go to all of them. And we go up to Orlando to see Atlanta," says one traveler.

For those who stay put in the St. Pete/Clearwater area, there's a full lineup of activities.
