It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

For many of us, it's not Halloween time until we see "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" on TV. Well, now you don't have to wait for it to air as the app with the same name allows you to experience the story whenever you want and in some new, interactive ways.

At its core, it's the classic story with that same classic music and even its classic storyteller walking you through it: Peter Robbins, the original voice of Charlie Brown.

Aside from the tale you already know, you can also dress a Peanuts character in a Halloween costume. Developers say there are more than 1 billion combinations. You can also play around with some mini-games, including pumpkin carving, playing Schroeder's piano and bobbing for apples. Plus, you can virtual trick-or-treat with the Peanuts gang.

"It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is an iOS app for $4.99.

And an app called DigitalDudz can quite possibly help you win any costume contest you're part of this year.

The app is only half the story. There are animations within the app, such as moving eyes, that are actually designed to bring a lifelike element to your costume. Developers are selling t-shirts that allow you to cut out certain parts, like the eyes, then duct tape your mobile device to the inside of the shirt in order to breathe life into what you're wearing.

The shirts, available to buy through the app or on DigitalDudz.com are about $25 apiece. You can, of course also just create your own shirts for the animations.

The DigitalDudz app is free for iOS and Android devices.
