What's new in the web garden

Some of our plants are thriving as the summer winds down. Our cayenne pepper and cherry tomato plants are doing great with lots of flowers and the pepper plant has many peppers! Our cherry tomato plant has plenty of blossoms and lots of tomatoes.

Our watermelon is growing and growing but it will be awhile before we're able to enjoy the fruit. For now, we'll just keep watering it and watch its progress.

We also have a cucumber that's popped out in the past few days.

The sunflowers are continuing to grow but still no flowers. It may be getting a bit late in the season for that but we've been surprised before with our other crops.

The carrots should be about ready to harvest and perhaps some of the lettuce, too. We'll probably pick our lone tomato from the 'it was almost dead' tomato plant.

I think we can cancel any plans to enjoy cantaloupe. The plants is dying and will not produce any fruit. We tried, but no luck this year with that particular plant.

We still have a few weeks of good weather left so hopefully what blossoms and fruit we have will thrive.
