SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Schenectady's General Electric plant is making an appearance during this Sunday's Super Bowl.
A 45 second commercial called "GE Works" is set to run during the first half of the game and features Schenectady employees building steam turbines, which are used by Anheuser-Busch to brew beer.
The ad was filmed in the Electric City and at Wolf's 111 bar in Colonie.
It's been a big year for GE with President Obama visiting a year ago and being featured on CBS's "60 Minutes" last summer.
GE Thermal Products President and CEO Paul Browning said in a release, "We want people to know that our employees are powering the world. A very practical example of this, and a great fit for a Super Bowl commercial, is brewing and refrigerating beer. GE turbine technology is a vital part of powering the production of recognizable products and services around the globe, and thousands of employees in Schenectady make it possible.”
