ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Albany medical students remembered those who donated their bodies to the Medical College for science and research.
Students and family members attended a ceremony to honor the over 300 people who gave their bodies to science. The program gives students the chance to get firsthand experience learning about the human body.
Students say their selfless donation is critical to education.
"Being able to really see it firsthand instead of just looking out of a book makes those lessons, the anatomical positions of everything, stick so much longer," said Tri Trang, a second year Albany Medical student.
A single flower was placed on the casket to remember each donor.
