SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Red Cross is assisting a family of three who was displaced following a house fire in Schenectady Thursday night.
The agency says it's providing food, clothing and shelter to two adults and a four-year-old child.
Firefighters were still on the scene early Friday morning, working to put out hotspots.
Officials say everyone in the home was able to get out safely, but the home itself is a total loss.
Five firefighters were injured by falling bricks while fighting the fire. They were sent to the hospital with minor injuries and have since been treated and released.
