TROY, N.Y. -- If you're on the hunt for a place to live, you may want to consider a new high end apartment complex right along the Hudson River in downtown Troy.
The Hudson, formerly known as Quayside Apartments, has just undergone its second phase of a $1.4 million renovation. Officials say the 66 unit residential building is about a third of the way done.
Right now, 25 units have been completed, four of which are penthouses. But it's certainly not cheap. To rent a penthouse apartment, it will cost you between $2,200 to $2,400 a month. However, views of the Hudson River are included.
The Hudson's leasing manager said despite the price, demand is still high.
"Today is the first day, I mean, we haven't even advertised yet and we already have two leased, so there was a demand for them even before they were ready," said Alisha Rogers, the leasing manager at The Hudson.
The complex was originally a commercial building until it was converted to residential housing in 1984.
