ALTAMONT, N.Y. -- The annual FreedomPalooza festival takes place at the Altamont Fairgrounds to celebrate America's freedoms.
Many people gathered to bring attention to their freedoms and to educate people on limited government. The passage of the Safe Act and other issues were topics of discussion for many people attending the event.
"Alot of people were upset by the way Albany has been operating recently. The Safe Act was a big thing, fracking, taxes, jobs, Basically they encouraged people to come out and sign up to vote, learn the issues then vote accordingly later on," said Jacob Rieper, Legislative Vice President for New York State Rifle and Pistol Association.
The event also featured entertainment from acts such as Keith Anderson and Chuck Wicks.
