ALBANY, N.Y. -- A shocking report from the State Inspector General's office shows employees at the Office of General Services drank and watched hours of television, all while on the job at the Sheridan Avenue Steam Plant.
Check out this surveillance photo from the steam plant. It shows a man setting up an antenna in an SUV, then setting up a chair to watch television.
The IG's report cites a lack of oversight that allowed these actions to take place. Among the incidents listed in the report an employee worked under the influence of alcohol in 2011. The report shows two of his supervisors were aware, but took no corrective action.
This latest report comes after a 2009 report which outlined a so-called Man Cave at the Empire State Plaza East Garage. Two OGS workers were convicted after the report showed they created an unauthorized lounge with a television, couches and scales to weigh marijuana. That report showed it was also a lack of oversight that allowed these abuses to take place.
