GREENFIELD, N.Y. -- An experienced pilot in Saratoga County safely made an emergency landing in a field in Greenfield.
Pilot William Booth, of Florida, was flying to Blue Mountain Lake from the Saratoga County Airport when the engine in his small plane stopped. Booth, who has more than 4,000 hours of flight experience, was able to land the plane safely in a field off Middle Grove Road.
While the plane was badly damaged, Booth walked away with just cuts and bruises.
The FAA is now looking into what caused the plane's engine to fail.
