ALBANY, N.Y. -- A man plead guilty to sexually abusing a child during a field trip.
According to police, Edward Tubbs, 22, plead guilty to one count of sexual abuse. They said in June, a child under the age of seven was using the bathroom at the New York State Museum while his mother waited outside. While the student was in the bathroom, Tubbs abused the child.
Tubbs tried to escape, but was immediately caught by New York State Police at the Empire State Plaza. He is expected to receive four years in prison, followed by 10 years of post release supervision.
Tubbs is scheduled to be sentenced on October 16.
