Friends and family are mourning the loss of a local teen after a car crash Wednesday night in New Windsor. Police say Brian Fish Jr., 18, was killed when he lost control of his car on Route 207. Meredith Zaritheny has more.
NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. -- New Windsor Police say Brian Fish Jr., 18, died Wednesday night after his car collided with another vehicle on Little Britain Road. It happened around 6 p.m.
New Windsor Police say Fish was traveling eastbound on Little Britain Road and that's when they say the City of Newburgh resident lost control of his Honda Civic while taking the corner near Route 747.
Police say Fish's car slid across the yellow lines and into oncoming traffic, colliding with a vehicle headed westbound.
Police say Fish was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.
Friends and family say Fish was a great friend.
Now, police say this isn't the first time there's been an accident on this particular part of Little Britain Road. It actually has a reputation for being dangerous.
Right now, police say the Accident Reconstruction Unit and detectives are investigating the crash.
