NEW YORK STATE -- The New York City man making the 355-mile trek to Albany County is approaching the Hudson Valley region this weekend.
Kenneth Posner is taking the route known as the Long Path. It stretches from the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge, and ends in Altamont in Albany County.
His trip began last weekend, and is expected to wrap up by Monday morning. The fastest known time for the trail is 12 days, but Posner is attempting to complete it in seven days.
The trip is part of Posner's effort to raise money for the New York Road Runner's youth fitness programs.
