Many people woke up to 40 degree temperatures on Friday morning. YNN's Megan Cruz has more on the unexpected September weather.
ALBANY, N.Y. -- It is still officially summer, but on Friday morning it felt much more like fall.
People across the region woke up to a chilly morning, with temperatures in the thirties and forties. Although they aren't freezing temperatures, the cold air still requires some extra layers.
"This is usually the start, I'll start with a sweatshirt and last year my big thing towards October and November was a flannel sweatshirt, just like a button down flannel over a sweatshirt, that works pretty well," said Matt Wagner, an Albany resident.
The summer season officially comes to an end on Saturday, September 21.
