SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The people of Schenectady brought the tastes of Italy to the city. People packed North Jay Street for the eighth annual Little Italy Street Fest.
Cornerstones of the event are music and, of course, the food.
From meatballs to pizza to, of course, those canolis, everyone was sure to leave satisfied,
Six area restaurants and bakeries provided the food, while several bands hit the stage.
While mom and dad were going for seconds, the kids dabbled in arts and crafts, hair braiding and face painting. There was even an appearance from Gianni Russo who played bad guy Carlo Rizzi in "The Godfather."
