The 12th anniversary of September 11th may have already passed, but that didn't stop people in Dutchess and Orange counties from remembering the attack over the weekend. Our Michael Howard reports.
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. – From the open road to the diamond, throughout Dutchess and Orange County, people paid tribute to the September 11th attacks that occurred 12 years ago.
In Newburgh, Paul Teutul of Orange County Choppers held a September 11th memorial ride, featuring 90 bikers.
“It just hit so close to home,” said Teutul. “You think about all of the families that lost their loved ones.”
And in Wappinger Falls, fans took in the second annual Guns and Hoses event at Dutchess Stadium, which brings the police and fire communities together for friendly competition and show.
“We're here to pay tribute,” said Director of Hudson Valley Guns and Hoses, Jess Moseman. “We're here for the heroes that were lost that day and just have fun.”
