ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are looking for the public's help to identify a person who they say assaulted a 19-year-old Albany woman.
Police responded to the 200 block of Western Avenue around 4 a.m. on Saturday for reports of an assault. When police arrived, the victim said she was grabbed from behind and pushed down by a man.
The victim was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
The man police are looking for is the man you see running and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
Since this area of Western Avenue is a place where students often hang out, police are asking them to remain vigilant.
"For people, if they're going to be out, especially at four o'clock in the morning, this is a city, so use your common sense. Walk in groups. Always carry your cell phone with you and just be careful," said Steve Smith of the Albany Police Department.
If you have any information about this man's identity, you're asked to call Albany police at 462-8039.
