CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. -- The man who was shot last month by New York State Police is expected to be arraigned on Monday afternoon.
Douglas Stewart, 43, faces several charges, including menacing a police officer and criminal possession of a weapon. State Police were called to Stewart's home on Cardinal Court in August. After arriving, they found Stewart with a rifle outside his home.
The Saratoga County District Attorney's office said Stewart placed a trooper in reasonable fear of physical injury or death by displaying a rifle. They said Stewart had reason to know the trooper was a member law enforcement.
