ALBANY, N.Y. -- A historical building in Albany has gotten a new life.
The Sage College's bought the New York National Guard Armory back in 2012. And now, the school has officially opened "The Armory at Sage." A total of 21,000 of the 68,000 square foot building has been transformed. There's now 15 new faculty offices, four seminar rooms, two classrooms, a conference room, as well as a student lounge.
Sage's president says she's thrilled they could preserve the Armory.
"We have a beautiful and historic Armory that had been neglected for many years and it is now space for students and faculty and for academic activities," said President Susan Scrimshaw.
Scrimshaw said they had run out of space on their Albany campus. It's the first time they've expanded it since the campus opened in 1949.
