STILLWATER, N.Y. -- Two kids were arrested after police say they caused nearly $9,000 in damages on a private property in the Village of Stillwater.
According to police, the kids, ages nine and ten, drove a tractor until it stopped working and filling fuel tanks of vehicles with oil, anti freeze and water. Police say they also spray painted several vehicles on the property and struck a boat repeatedly with an axe. They also started a fire before running from the scene, but it did not spread.
The two kids are being referred to Saratoga County Family Court, charged with what is equivalent to burglary and criminal mischief on a felony level if their actions would have been committed by an adult.
