SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A Schenectady man is awaiting arraignment after police say he robbed the Trustco Bank on Union Street.
According to employees at the bank, Aram Silva, 28, went into the bank and handed a teller a note that said he wanted money and that he had a bomb. After getting the money, police say Silva ran out the back of the bank towards Eastern Parkway. He was quickly caught by police.
Silva has been charged with first degree robbery. He will be arraigned on Thursday.
