EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- What seemed to be an unsolved murder mystery in East Greenbush has been solved. The remains found at a home on Michael Road appear to be that of an animal, not that of a woman who disappeared from the area back in 1938.
A contractor working on the home found the remains in a crawlspace Wednesday. Police say the bones actually belong to a deer.
There was speculation the bones may have belonged to a woman who lived in the home. She disappeared in the 1930s. However, tests conducted show the remains belong to a deer.
