TROY, N.Y. -- Early Saturday morning, a stabbing put one man in the hospital and another behind bars.
Troy Police found Jerome Rakestraw, 45, with serious stab wounds to his chest while responding to a disturbance call at a home on Jay Street.
Cohoes resident Bryan Wright, 23, who was still at the scene, was identified by witnesses as the stabber and was arrested.
Police say they found the knife allegedly used in the incident. Wright is charged with assault, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon.
Meanwhile Rakestraw was taken to Albany Medical Center and is expected to survive.
