ROTTERDAM, N.Y. -- A Rotterdam man has been sentenced for his role in an arson case. Larry Ahrens, 34, plead guilty in August.
The judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison for arson and criminal possession of a weapon. Ahrens was one of the three people who were involved in the March 2012 incident.
According to police, Ahrens, Michael Chambers, and Amy Brzoza targeted a home in the High Bridge area. They said the victim was targeted after he became friendly with Ahrens' ex-girlfriend.
The three suspects damaged the home with a screwdriver, and later threw an explosive into the window. It caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the home.
Chambers and Brzoza plead guilty for their involvement.
