TROY, N.Y. - There was a lot of sipping and sampling at the 7th annual Chowderfest in Troy's Riverfront Park this weekend.
20-thousand samples in fact, and within a few hours, those tickets were all sold out!
Each ticket provided a 4-ounce sample from one of the 17 different restaurants ladling out their finest chowder.
From Asian, to Cuban, to the sweet soups of apple pie and s'mores -- there was a little something for all your taste buds.
Not to mention, people enjoyed jams from some popular local bands and other family friendly activities.
"We do a lot of business development, we put on a lot of events, and we take that money and re-invest it into the community," said Emily Luddy, Marketing & Events Coordinator for Downtown Troy Business Improvement District.
The proceeds from Chowderfest support the downtown Troy Business Improvement District.
