CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A woman was hospitalized after an accident between a pickup truck and tractor trailer in Rensselaer County.
According to the fire chief, it happened at the Pilot Truck Stop in Castleton-on-Hudson Monday afternoon. He said the woman driving the pickup truck was taken to Albany Medical Center with minor injuries.
The chief said the intersection can be very dangerous.
"With the traffic here, north and south bound, people do not realize they are doing 55-60 miles an hour. Then you have a truck pull out at 5 or 10 miles an hour," said Schodack Fire Chief Gary Roberts. "Immediately that northbound traffic has to decelerate at a very rapid pace. We do get called here a lot for accidents at this three way intersection, so to speak."
The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
