ALBANY, N.Y. -An Albany teen is sentenced to 5 years in state prison for ties to an armed home invasion in the city.
17-year-old Shieer Leggett pleaded guilty in August to attempted burglary. According to the Albany County District Attorney's Office, Leggett, along with two other people entered a home on Clinton Avenue back in May.
Leggett held two victims under the age of 16 at gunpoint while police say the others robbed the victims of their cell phones, a television, and other items.
The cases against the other suspects are still pending. Following his release from prison, Leggett will also serve 3 years of post release supervision.
