ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police say a man inappropriately approached a group of school children waiting at a bus stop on South Pearl Street Friday morning.
When police arrived, a man matching the description of the suspect was stopped by officers.
"The initial call from the caller was that the male was inappropriately approaching the students. Again, this is an ongoing investigation, a party has been stopped, and the investigation continues," said Albany Police Spokesperson Steve Smith.
Police want to remind everyone of these important safety tips.
They say to never walk alone, do not talk to strangers, come to school on time, walk against traffic so you cannot be followed, and if you see something, tell an adult immediately.
