ALBANY, N.Y. -- People from all different cultures come together to celebrate their heritage for the 42nd Annual Festival of Nations..
The event was held at the Empire State Plaza and featured international food, dancing, and arts and crafts. About 23 countries participated in the event which is held each year.
It's an event that gives people the chance to learn more about other cultures. Organizers say the festival also allows cultures to come together despite their differences.
"To work together, it's a unique thing and we can teach that to our children. To see how well in harmony, no matter what differences we have politically, but with the social level we can work together and we can change those problems," said Manoj Ajmera, Chairman of the Festival of Nations
Our very own Julie Chapman served as the MC for the event.
