SCHOHARIE, N.Y. -- Days after a report regarding abuse allegations in Schoharie County is released, the Schoharie Country Treasurer claims the document is a preliminary reports and is eight months old.
The 104 page document was released by the county board of supervisors last week after an executive session. It reveals accusations of harassment, gender discrimination, and abuse of power by at least four members. Treasurer William Cherry, County Personnel Director Cassandra Ethington, Town of Blenheim Supervisor Robert Mann Junior and County Board of Supervisors Chairman Philip Skowfoe are among those listed.
Cherry released a statement Monday saying the report was actually delivered to the board in February. He believes the true final report would be embarrassing to some members of the board of supervisors, and was not released.
Cherry is now demanding the true final report be released to the public.
