COEYMANS, N.Y. -- More than twelve acres burned in a brush fire Monday morning on Biers Road in Coeymans Hollow.
Roughly 75 firefighters from more than a dozen fire departments were called in, with Tanker trucks carrying water.
The Town of Coeymans Police Chief says there were a number of factors that made the fire difficult to battle.
"It was a hike back. I would estimate about a half mile back, straight up on top of the mountain where it is very windy," said Gregory Darlington, Town of Coeymans Police Chief
No one was hurt, and no homes were damaged.
